  1. What a fantastic view Pam. Are the purple flowers Field Scabious? Its almost a Yorkshire equivalent of Monet's waterlillies dont you think? Linda

  2. You're knowledge of wild flowers is much better than mine! I don't remember seeing these before and spotted them in a local wood on Sunday. I hadn't had chance to look them up yet - thanks for the help! It did look beautiful, would have to say they looked a little better than Monets painting - but I suppose that's a little biased :-)

  3. Oh don't be fooled Pam, I had to look im my wildflower book just to be sure. A great benefit of taking a digital camera with you is that on your return you can sit with a cuppa & a couple of reference books & try to identify your bounty!

  4. That's true, though I think i'm going to have to invest in a new wild flower book. I have my Dads'old copy, which has bad drawings and you can't really id anything!

  5. I enlarged your photo Pam and it is beautiful, I don't think I have seen a field with that many Scabious for a long time. It must be a nice place to walk although it looks like you would have to fight your way through the flowers! ;)

  6. Thanks. It was hidden away off the path so I took a detour to take some photos.
