Around the Garden

Just a little update on whats going on in the garden at the moment. It's looking very wet and windswept tonight but over the weekend we had some lovely sun and it brought out all the birds.

The Nasturtiums are still going strong as are the Cosmos flowers, new ones are still popping out even now.

On Sunday afternoon as it started getting dark, I spotted this Sparrowhawk in the trees, I just had time for a couple of photos through the window before it flew off. A great way to end the day!

  1. Lovely photos Pam. How nice to see your Cosmos, I love them and this was the first year for a while that I didn't grow any, I didn't get to do much at all in my garden this year :(

Lovely to see your birds too, I do hope the Sparrowhawk didn't take any of the ones in your photos, I know they have to eat too but... :)

  2. I like the Sparrowhawk, Pam! We've had a Cooper's Hawk (our equivalent) hanging around our house recently. Maybe that's why our yards have been quiet.

  3. Thanks for the comments :-)

The Sparrowhawk didn't take anything that I saw on Sunday but it has been around a few months now and i've seen it pick off a few birds! Doesn't seem to deter them though, they always come back!
