Temple Newsam

I haven't been to Temple Newsam since a Party in the Park back in the late 90's despite it being 20 minutes away from home. Granted we went mostly to look at the farm, but it was a good way to spend Easter Monday.

There were plenty of Swallows around the farm. Love seeing these birds back in the sky. Just waiting on the Swifts that live above my house for the summer now.

We spotted a Roe Deer running through the woods near the golf course in the afternoon, bit of a surpise, we thought they'd be well hidden away with all the people about. It was too far away for any kind of photo though.

I saw my first Chiffchaff of the year, high up in one of the trees and there were lots of Speckled Wood butterflies about too.
