First Frost of the Season

On the 29th the temperature dropped low enough for a frost. I love how it all looks as the sun comes up and everything glows white.

Luckily I was able to have a quick walk in the woods before work so managed a few photos while it was still early, the sun was making short work of the frost though!

If I stay really still they can't see me......

  1. Frost certainly does create a wonderland look about everything. You are very fortunate (or perhaps you planned well) that you are able to take a walk in the woods before going to work. When I think how much time spent in traffic I shudder. Fortunately I am now retired.

  2. Lovely set of photos Pam, would rather have cold frosty days than the resent dull damp days we are having in November. So nice you get chance to connect with nature before you start work for the day.

  3. Brrr it looks great! We are in our what I call gloomy pattern now of drizzle and overcast low hanging clouds. An early walk is the best way to start the day!

We've had a few frosty mornings here but I've not yet managed to get out with camera to capture one!

    1. Thanks! We've only had the one so far I think, too much dull damp weather about at the moment!

  6. Lovely photos of your first frosty morning this season. We've only had one light frost so far this autumn, I expect there will be a few more soon:)

  7. Beautiful pictures of the frosty landscape. Like Rosie, we've only had one light ground frost here in the Midlands. I love this time of year for taking pictures of mist, but usually the best pics I see are when I'm driving to work, with nowhere to stop and no camera!
